Sunday sermon…

Do you put your hand up, when someone tries to help you?

I’ll bet that most of you immediately rolled your eyes and thought a negative thought of some sort.

We tend to think negatively about sermons, because we have that engrained in us.

Our Mom sits us down to talk to us and it’s a mini-sermon…

Our teacher takes us out of class and sermonizes a rule…

A friend’s sermon about how you treated them…

We look at sermons wrong…

A sermon has a purpose.

It’s to help, motivate, train and encourage us, to do right.

We may not need all the lessons that are shared in the sermon, but there’s always something we can learn. We all need to grow and change and we can learn from the Pastor that’s taken time to prepare a sermon for you.

When you get to church today, make sure that you’re focused on learning and listening, rather than being concerned about the fact that a sermon is coming.

Lessons Learned: Sermons are good for you. Be teachable!

Thoughts: Are you ready for a sermon?
