Goliath still attacks, but God defeats!

This is a picture of a weak hand...

"Goliath was the best thing that ever happened to David."
Saw this quote recently…
I gave it some thought.
It’s simple and reminded me of some important truths…

God is in control.
He had to give permission to Goliath to grow and to fight.
Someone said to me recently, that he didn’t picture God sitting at a desk and signing off on what could and couldn't occur in our world. I’m not sure that he sits at a desk, nor does he have to “sign off” on anything, but he is in control.
He knows what’s going on on this little planet and He knows what needs, worries, fears, desires, headaches, heartaches, hurts, hampering’s and details we have each day.
He is not surprised by a single one of them.
He has them in complete and total control.
It’s true - really - don’t forget it!
God controls the details with ease.
God is above fear.
Why do I fear?
David used a simple sling (not a fancy powerful one like we have today) and killed a giant, like we’ve never seen alive today.
God took the stone and put it in the perfect place to destroy the giant.
If David can trust the Lord for something like that, why can’t I trust Him for…
Provision of needs...
Safety…
Wisdom for my children (not only for my wife and I as we raise them, but for them individually)…
Direction…
Abilities…
Strength over Satan’s attacks…
God is above every fear we have!
God is our only strength.
Aren’t you glad it’s not up to us?
We don’t have much strength. We are weak and full of failure. We set ourselves up for failure and often destroy our own lives by living in our own strengths.
God spoke and the universe was created! We can’t even figure out some of the smallest things on our planet. We lack the wisdom and strength to figure it out. He did it in a word...a word...a word - imagine the strength He has in His hands, if a word does that (thinking of that - His nail holed hands saved us - that’s huge!).
Look to God’s strength when a giant comes around!
Other posts about faith, or giants, or worry...
Lessons Learned: Fear is just worry. Worry is just focusing on us. We should be focusing on Him.
Thoughts: What’s your giant today?
